On October 17, a unique conference "Reading for Democracy and Business" will be held in Sopot, organized by the Universal Reading Foundation. It will be the opening of a broad discussion on the profitability of business involvement in reading, which FPC and other members have been talking about for some time as part of the coalition
#ReadingPoland.
The meeting will focus on the trend of using reading to build the success of your own company. It is an opportunity to meet interesting experts. Some of them will appear in Poland for the first time.
Scientists will introduce us to what reading gives to our brains, business representatives will share examples of using reading to build the development and social capital of a company and a strong image of a socially responsible organization, activists from non-governmental organizations will talk about effective, mutually beneficial partnerships with business.
During the meeting, a number of topics relevant to several sectors will be discussed:
– The transformative power of literature: political, social, tissue-forming;
at the level of society, at the level of the company community
– The role of the central institution as a visionary and servant in one, a vision of public-social-private partnership
– German experience, social-private-public partnerships and business profit
– Motivations of businesses joining #LiteracyBusinessPledge. Benefits for signatory businesses
