#TataTeżCzyta2024 – Anna and Robert Lewandowski support the new edition of the campaign

#TataTeżCzyta – last year's slogan, which became the slogan of a nationwide campaign, is still relevant and important. Boys and men in Poland still read much less than women and girls. That is why the Universal Reading Foundation and Tatarak Publishing House are once again taking up the challenge of reaching Fathers, Uncles, Grandfathers, Brothers, Guardians and all men – on World Book Day, sending them a simple message: read! Reading gives freedom! The campaign has already involved Anna and Robert Lewandowski!

This year's reading surveys indicate that there has been a significant increase in the last 12 months - by as much as 9 percentage points, for the first time in less than 10 years. However, when it comes to reaching for a book, women still predominate - 50% compared to 36% for men. The ratio is also very similar.
emotional to read. Interestingly, the percentage of men using libraries doubled last year – in the age group of people potentially raising small children. In the previous edition of the #TataTeżCzyta campaign, the organizers emphasized that the lack of a male reading role model is one of the reasons for abandoning reading habits, which are primarily associated with the period of education. Recent studies show that active involvement of men in reading socialization in the family environment helps to develop and consolidate reading attitudes, especially among boys. Habits
formed in childhood have an impact on reading habits in adulthood. Boys read less, which is why it is even more important to emphasize this issue!

"Last year's edition of the #TataTeżCzyta campaign and the results of the latest research confirm the need and validity of pro-reading campaigns aimed at men. That is why we are taking up this challenge once again. The content of our brochure does not lose its relevance. It is worth checking how easy it is to start
read, and above all – how to start reading with your child.” – says Maria Deskur, president of the Universal Reading Foundation, co-author of the guide Supermoc Książek #TataTeżCzyta.

"Cooperation with so many publishers is a unique experience. We all care deeply about inclusive encouragement to read those who still do not feel invited enough," emphasizes Monika-Wróbel Lutz, president of the Tatarak publishing house, initiator of the #TataTeżCzyta project.

This year's campaign will begin on May 15. That's when the official premiere of the promotional spot with the new ambassadors is planned. The campaign activities will last until June 23, when Father's Day is celebrated. The timing of the campaign is not accidental - during this period
Mother's Day and Children's Day are also celebrated, which are often accompanied by events aimed at the youngest, with the participation of parents and guardians, which can become an excellent opportunity to promote reading. The campaign formula, as in the first edition, is open. The organizers invite you to
participation, as well as downloading and using materials available on the website.

"A year ago, I had the pleasure of sharing my own experience and passion for reading. It's important to motivate children to do this, but also each other." - says Łukasz Dominiak, Instagrammer ("Who's your Daddy"), ambassador of last year's edition.

The campaign is accompanied by the brochure Superpower of books: #TataTeżCzyta edition 2024. It is free of charge, available as an e-book for download at: www.TataTezCzyta.pl (from April 23), as well as in a printed version (from May 15), in selected bookstores, public libraries, kindergartens, cultural institutions.
and companies.

Reading is for the brain what sport is for the body. That is why it should be promoted as a healthy way of spending time, attractive and practiced regardless of gender. Every parent or guardian who reads regularly is the foundation of a child's future. Reading develops, broadens horizons, releases potential -
and thus, gives freedom!

Dad, Uncle, Brother, Grandpa – remember this!

"It is a great joy for me that once again, as a company, we can be a partner in the action of the Powszechnego Czytania Foundation. Involvement in socially important projects is embedded in the DNA of LoveBrands Group. As a professional communications consultant, we know perfectly well how important it is
reading. Words have great power, which is worth using for a noble cause, so like every year, we will use them to make even more people hear about this extraordinary campaign," says the president of LoveBrands Group, Dorota Bieniek.

The campaign was co-financed by the EU Creative Europe programme and by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
