The #TataTeżCzyta campaign implemented by the Universal Reading Foundation is among the distinguished social campaigns of 2023.
The editorial team of the sprawnymarketing.pl portals published a list of the most interesting advertising and social campaigns of 2023 according to the speakers of #ilovemkt (I Love Marketing & Technology). Media and advertising experts answered the question which of them made the greatest impression.
"The most important social campaign in 2023 was the initiative #TataTeżCzyta, promoting reading to children by fathers. This campaign, organized by the Universal Reading Foundation, highlighted the importance of reading for children's development, especially in the context of the contribution of fathers to this process," said Dominik Karbowski, Vice President and co-founder of Selectivv.
For sprawnymarketing.pl:
"The campaign focused on the important fact that children who are read to from a young age develop cognitive skills much faster than their peers. What made this initiative unique was the emphasis on involving fathers in this process. Statistics show that fathers' participation in reading to children is significantly lower than mothers', which makes this campaign extremely necessary.
In addition, the involvement of well-known personalities such as Łukasz "Juras" Jurkowski - MMA fighter, Zygmunt Miłoszewski - valued author of books and novels or Wiesław Nowobilski - head of the renovation team of the "Our New Home" program, as ambassadors of this campaign, showed that reading to children should be accepted and practiced by everyone, regardless of profession, age or passion. This highlighted the universality and importance of this social initiative for the entire society.”
The distinction of the #TataTeżCzyta campaign is very significant for the Foundation's activities. This is an important topic and campaign that touches on a serious problem that has been diagnosed - statistically, men and boys read less and less often. One of the reasons is certainly the lack of a male reading role model. The Universal Reading Foundation has set itself the goal of persuading fathers, uncles, grandfathers, brothers and all men to read.
This year, another edition of the campaign will take place, just like the previous one – carried out in cooperation with publishers, book distributors, libraries, local governments, with the involvement of institutions and companies. The continuation of activities aims to draw even wider attention to the problem of low reading and the need to read, especially among men.
