On July 10, a meeting was held at the Ministry of National Education with Deputy Minister Paulina Piechna-Więckiewicz, in which the representative of the Union of Polish Metropolises, Agata Saracyn, and the president of the Universal Reading Foundation, Maria Deskur, took part.
The meeting concerned the development of reading, not only through school readings, but above all through access to books for all social groups at every stage of life. It was a substantive, true and inspiring conversation about supporting children in their development through reading, as well as the barriers that stand in the way of its popularization.
The development of reading is an extremely important issue for the future of our society. We are actively working to change this. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the conversation and the fruitful meeting. The Universal Reading Foundation remains at your disposal, ready to continue working to achieve this important goal.
