Creative Debates | Let's Talk About... Literary Projects

We invite you to participate in the next webinar in the series of meetings addressed to representatives of the cultural sector: Creative debates | let's talk about…

The aim of the debates is to draw attention to important and current topics related to the cultural and creative sector. Invited guests share their experience, but also draw attention to the challenges and problems that the cultural sector is currently facing. Together, they search for the best solutions and actions that can significantly strengthen the cultural sector and adapt it to the needs of the modern recipient. The meetings are also an inspiration for potential applicants of the Creative Europe programme to use good practices when planning and implementing projects, referring to the priorities and issues set by the programme.

The topic of the November debate will be: literary projects.

Literature projects consisting in the translation, publication, distribution and promotion of books are the subject of support within the grant area Support for the circulation of European literature, for which the call for applications is currently open. Literature-related projects can also be implemented in the area European cooperation projects, and also within the framework of the mobility programme Culture Moves Europe.

The guests invited to participate in the debate will try to answer the questions: what elements should a European project on literature contain, who and why is it worth cooperating with in implementing such a project, how to reach the recipients, and what is the role of the translator in international literary projects. The interlocutors will share their experience and good practices in this area, and will also talk about the benefits of such projects.

The online meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2024 from 12:00 to 14:00. Participation in the meeting is free of charge, but prior registration is required via registration form.
