On October 10-11, 2024, the second edition of the conference "LET'S TALK ABOUT LIBRARIES. PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN LIBRARIES" will be held in Łódź, addressed to the management staff of public libraries. During the two October days, participants will have the opportunity to listen to and seek advice from experts on the latest challenges facing libraries.
The conference will feature lectures on the latest tendencies, trends and challenges of libraries, their financing, various forms of fundraising, as well as the importance of the institution on the cultural map of Poland.
The event programme also included individual consultations with lawyers, specialists in administration, accounting, finance and public procurement.
The conference will also feature discussion panels on current important topics affecting libraries, including those from smaller towns, current trends – such as the use of AI in the work of cultural institutions, or new phenomena and reading habits from the perspective of users and publishers. The panel devoted to this topic will be led by Maria Deskur, president of the Powszechnego Czytania Foundation.
