During the June meeting of the Council of the Universal Reading Foundation, changes were made to the Management Board of the Universal Reading Foundation, which was reappointed for another term in its new composition.
The meeting of companies associated in the Council of the Universal Reading Foundation selected the composition of the new FPC Management Board for the next 3 years. Maria Deskur, re-elected as president, and Grzegorz Majerowicz, a member of the board, was joined as the next member of the Board by Katarzyna Konopka, previously a project manager in the Foundation.
Katarzyna Konopka is a journalism graduate, publisher, and marketer. She worked in the marketing departments of Znak and Egmont publishing houses. For several years, she supported Polonia while working at the Consulate General in New York. As a publisher, she was responsible for children's books at the Słowne publishing house. Since 2021, she has been associated with the Universal Reading Foundation, managing projects that include primarily the #KsiążkaNaReceptę program, Ratownicy Czytelnictwa, and the international #KsiążkaChroni campaign.
The mission of the Universal Reading Foundation is to raise the level of reading in Poland, among others by engaging and encouraging non-readers to read. I believe that by reaching out to opinion leaders and cooperating with companies, institutions and organizations involved in promoting reading, we can effectively work to achieve this goal. – says Katarzyna Konopka, member of the Board of the Universal Reading Foundation.
