Zabrze Declaration of Cooperation for Reading, between the Employment Office and the Library

On September 25, the first Declaration of Cooperation in Poland was signed in Zabrze between the District Employment Office, the Zabrze City Hall and the Municipal Library, supported by the Universal Reading Foundation.

This declaration is a formal agreement, but above all, a shared commitment that shows that reading is everyone's business.

„"We are pleased with the declaration of cooperation between the employment office and the library. This demonstrates important elements of what reading can be for us – a tool for developing our professional skills. It builds critical thinking, presentation skills, and teamwork. We are pleased that the first such declaration in Poland has been signed and hope it will serve as a model for others to follow," noted Maria Deskur, president of the FPC.

Such activities are an investment in the development of residents – both individually and as a community.

It was in Zabrze in March 2024 that it was signed in our presence ""The Zabrze Declaration", in which Zabrze was the first city in Poland to commit itself to truly holistic work for reading: in all city departments, including training and reading workshops for office employees.
