This year, EURead, a network of European organizations committed to promoting reading, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. A celebratory forum for members will be held tomorrow in Brussels under the slogan "25 years of getting Europe reading.".
During the event, experts will discuss the benefits of reading from a scientific perspective and how reading promotion contributes to fostering social change across Europe. An international panel of speakers will share their experiences from recent years, focusing on the development and implementation of reading promotion strategies.
Maria Deskur, president of the Universal Reading Foundation, will discuss the Foundation's activities both in Poland and in the broader European context. She will also highlight the importance of building cross-sectoral collaboration and a strategic approach to reading promotion, and present selected projects implemented by the Foundation.
