The Universal Reading Foundation invites you to the conference "Book on prescription"

Have you heard about the impact of reading aloud on children's health and development? Why is recommending reading part of the pediatrics of the future? Do you want to expand your knowledge on this topic?

…you've come to the right place! We invite you to a special, free conference "PRESCRIPTION BOOK" with the participation of international experts, which will allow for the acquisition of knowledge, not only theoretical but also practical in the field of recommending and promoting reading among patients and their caregivers, as a tool for convalescence and the emotional and intellectual development of children.

Why read to your child from the first days of life?
It has been observed that a child who enjoys reading has better chances in life. (PISA, Reading for Change, 2000, p. 143).
Reading aloud to a child has been shown to reduce developmental differences between children: emotional, intellectual, and social. (Barry Zuckerman, Promoting Early Literacy in Pediaric Practic: twenty years of Reach Out and Read. Pediatrics 2009; 124: 1660-1665.)

Topics discussed include:
– The shape of health policy in the context of pediatric care and equalizing development opportunities for children.
– What does psycholinguistic research say about the role of reading in early language development?
– How does dialogical reading affect children’s brain development?
– What are the latest research results on the impact of reading aloud on convalescence?
– How to talk to patients’ parents and what books to recommend?
