The Universal Reading Foundation has joined a unique educational and cultural initiative
in Zamo\u015b\u0107. In February 2026, a cooperation agreement was signed between The city of Zamo\u015b\u0107<\/strong>,\u00a0Zamo\u015b\u0107 Academy<\/strong>,\u00a0The Zamoyski Library named after Stanis\u0142aw Kostka Zamoyski<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0FPC<\/strong>, which will officially launch the implementation of the educational and cultural project\u00a0SHELL<\/strong>. Its goal is to develop social and emotional competences through contact with literature.<\/p>

The "Skorupka" project fits perfectly into its mission of promoting reading as a tool supporting human development. The initiative aims to build sensitivity, empathy, and communication skills among children, youth, and students, including through activities such as the "Empathy" series
with the Book.".<\/p>

The Foundation has assumed patronage over the project, supporting its implementation and distribution, leveraging its experience and nationwide network of collaborations. A key element of the project is openness \u2013 all materials developed as part of the project will be made available free of charge to reach the widest possible audience.<\/p>

\u201e"Skorupka" is a partnership project and involves various environments \u2013 from cultural institutions, through universities,
to primary schools. Students will lead reading classes for the youngest, the university will provide substantive support, and local institutions will oversee the organization and development of the project within the city.<\/p>

The initiative in Zamo\u015b\u0107 also has a symbolic dimension. For centuries, the city has been a meeting place for ideas, knowledge, and culture\u2014values that continue today in modern educational initiatives. The "Skorupka" project demonstrates that literature remains one of the most important tools for building relationships, developing competencies, and strengthening communities.<\/p>

The signed agreement opens a new chapter in activities promoting reading and education in the region \u2013 another step in building a society in which books provide real support for the social and emotional development of young people.<\/p>

As the organizers admit, the initiative is inspired by the assumptions of the so-called. Zabrze Declaration<\/em> \u2013 an agreement on cooperation, but also a joint commitment to the development of reading, supported by the Universal Reading Foundation, with a view to development and adaptation to local needs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
