At the Universal Reading Foundation, we believe it can.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why on March 12 we will take part in a conversation at the House of Books in Pozna\u0144 about why literature remains one of the most important tools for building a more conscious and equitable society.<\/p>\n<p>The evening, organized by the House of Books Foundation, will begin with the opening of an exhibition of memorabilia from the former House of Books\u2014a place that for years was an important point on Pozna\u0144\u2019s cultural map. The collected archives, materials discovered during the building\u2019s revitalization, and artistic collages by Monika Lisiecka will recall the history of this place and the people who helped create it.<\/p>\n<p>Afterward, we invite you to the panel discussion \u201cThe House of Books as an idea and a place that shapes the future: Reading for a Better World.\u201d Together with our exceptional guests\u2014Joanna Olech, Justyna Sobolewska, Tomasz Stawiszy\u0144ski, and Prof. Przemys\u0142aw Czapli\u0144ski\u2014we will talk about the role of literature in the contemporary world: how reading fosters empathy, broadens horizons, and can help equalize opportunities.
