The beginning of the school year saw the launch of the "Reading Pays Off" educational campaign, which aims to help teachers and parents develop reading interests in children and provide financial education from the very first year of school. Bank Pekao SA and FPC have joined forces in a joint project that encourages reading, supports entrepreneurship, and promotes the safe use of technology.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Learning to read can be an adventure, and it's important that a child has access to engaging books in their classroom and school environment from the very beginning. That's why, as part of the collaboration, we created "Porwanie Pani Z\u0142ot\u00f3wki," written by Justyna Bednarek, a beloved author of children's literature, including school readings. A unique interpretation of the text in audiobook form was prepared by Edyta Jungowska, a renowned actress and narrator of children's stories.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Soon, students from 1,000 first-grade classes who sign up for the program will receive their own hard copy of the book. Teachers will also be provided with teaching and learning packages, including lesson plans and gadgets to facilitate reading activities in the classroom. Reading is the foundation of education, not just in the humanities. This activity increases students' opportunities in all fields, including science. Reading supports the development of future-proof skills and helps them understand new technologies. It also teaches independence, self-reliance, and entrepreneurship. Those who read are better able to navigate the world of finance, which is an important element of education.<\/p>\n

The publication of the book and audiobook "Porwanie Pani Z\u0142ot\u00f3wki" (The Kidnapping of Mrs. Z\u0142ot\u00f3wki) is not the only Bank Pekao activity in the area of financial education for children. For years, the institution has been involved in activities supporting the development of children and youth, recognizing the importance of a conscious approach to money from an early age.<\/p>\n

Our priority is teaching practical skills and fostering independence and entrepreneurship in children, which will pay off in adulthood. It's best to start teaching them to save as early as possible \u2013 through pocket money or through parents' subtle oversight of their child's finances via the Parent Panel in the app."\u201d \u2013 <\/em>says Tomasz Molenda, director of the Retail Customer Segment Management Office at Bank Pekao SA.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The initiative encourages parents to support their child, their class, and their teacher in developing the habit of reading daily. It emphasizes the importance of reading as a family and building home libraries. The title will also be available at select bank branches. Schools participating in the initiative will receive free kits in September, which will be used to organize reading activities in classrooms and enrich home libraries. The organizers of the "Reading Pays Off" campaign invite you to participate, use the available materials, and explore the world of books and finances.<\/p>\n

Bank Pekao SA.<\/strong> offers a wide range of services for children, supporting them at various stages of exploring the world of finance. From birth, parents can open their eyes to Advantageous Account <\/strong>and the M\u00f3j Skarb savings account. Older children aged 6\u201312 can use the Package PeoPay<\/strong> KIDS<\/strong>, including an account, a savings account, a mobile application, and a personal payment card. Among the bank's latest initiatives was a report \u201e"Child's Financial World"\u201d<\/strong>, which shows how young users navigate the world of finance. Thanks to the application PeoPay KIDS<\/strong> are becoming more aware and independent in their first expenses or savings. Another important project is \u201e"Saving Fairy Tales"\u201d<\/strong>, a series of educational stories that teach how to manage your pocket money wisely, avoid the traps of advertising and use your payment card safely.<\/p>\n

The Universal Reading Foundation<\/strong> Since 2018, it has been working to promote reading, thereby reducing social exclusion\u2014because not reading is a social problem. By supporting reading, it builds the foundations for children's success in life in Poland and supports the development of a conscious civil society. One of the Foundation's main projects is "Reader of Reading," a program aimed at teachers.
