The Abedik Printing House has once again supported the Universal Reading Foundation. This time by launching "Ksi\u0105\u017ckogrosze dla czytelnictwa", a wonderful community fundraising campaign that lasted from September to the end of December 2024 and was also a lovely expression of the printing house's appreciation for the FPC for winning the award. Library of Congress Literacy Award.<\/a><\/span><\/p>

Abedik, on this occasion, proposed that publishers add one grosz to the price of each copy printed by them during the campaign. For every grosz donated in this way by the publisher, Abedik added another grosz from himself. The quite significant "measure" collected from these "seeds", i.e. the sum of PLN 37,664.84, was transferred to the Universal Reading Foundation and will be used to support the implementation of individual projects dedicated to the promotion of reading.<\/p>

It is difficult to express in one sentence how grateful we are for the \u201cKsi\u0105\u017ckogrosze\u201d campaign. Of course, we are very grateful for the funds donated, they will be extremely useful: we run many important projects that constantly suffer from underfunding. On the other hand, we are extremely moved by the scale of publishers\u2019 involvement and the fact that it was such a joint action \u2013 this element is important, wise and effective. The third thing is the model \u2013 an incredible example of business involvement \u2013 thank you for all these elements, very much! \u2013 <\/em>Marynia Deskur, president of FPC, strongly emphasized.<\/p>

The involvement of companies in the promotion of reading and support of reading in Poland is an expression of great business responsibility, concern for the future of citizens and the development of innovation, economy, science and the entire country. Cooperation in this area is extremely important - together we can achieve more, and the enormous power of joint actions is evidenced by the sum built precisely from broad participation. Incorporating such actions into a business strategy - own involvement and activating others is the best example of a solution that benefits both parties.<\/p>

We have been circling around the idea of the bookgrosze for a long time. We have wonderful clients with whom we have been working for many years and with whom we share bonds of values \u2013 we felt that they would be willing to be persuaded to take part in the campaign, for which we are extremely grateful and moved by such commitment. The Library of Congress Literacy Award for FPC impressed us and became an opportunity to take action. We are very happy that together we managed to raise a considerable amount, thanks to which FPC will be able to operate even more effectively. \u00a0<\/em>\u2013 summed up Ma\u0142gorzata Mi\u015bkiewicz, president of the management board of Abedik SA printing house.<\/p>

Abedik impressed us immensely. He has supported us in print for years, and now he has organized Ksi\u0105\u017ckogrosze\u2026 It is wonderful to work with companies run by people who perceive the world in its complexity, who see needs, social and common goals. This is important not only for us, but for the communities in which we live. <\/em>\u2013 added Grzegorz Majerowicz, member of the FPC management board.<\/p>

The Universal Reading Foundation would like to thank Abedik and the publishers who got involved in supporting reading through the "Ksi\u0105\u017ckogrosze" campaign. The funds will be used to implement the statutory goals of the FPC.<\/p>
