Invited guests share their experience, but also draw attention to the challenges and problems that the cultural sector is currently facing. Together, they search for the best solutions and actions that can significantly strengthen the cultural sector and adapt it to the needs of the modern recipient. The meetings are also an inspiration for potential applicants of the Creative Europe programme to use good practices when planning and implementing projects, referring to the priorities and issues set by the programme.<br \/><strong><br \/>The topic of the November debate will be: literary projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Literature projects<\/strong>\u00a0consisting in the translation, publication, distribution and promotion of books are the subject of support within the grant area\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kreatywna-europa.eu\/wsparcie-obiegu-literatury-europejskiej-2025-nabor-wnioskow-otwarty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Support for the circulation of European literature<\/a>, for which the call for applications is currently open. Literature-related projects can also be implemented in the area\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kreatywna-europa.eu\/aplikacje\/projekty-wspolpracy-europejskiej\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European cooperation projects<\/a>, and also within the framework of the mobility programme\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kreatywna-europa.eu\/aplikacje\/culture-moves-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Culture Moves Europe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The guests invited to participate in the debate will try to answer the questions: what elements should a European project on literature contain, who and why is it worth cooperating with in implementing such a project, how to reach the recipients, and what is the role of the translator in international literary projects. The interlocutors will share their experience and good practices in this area, and will also talk about the benefits of such projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The online meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2024 from 12:00 to 14:00.<\/strong>\u00a0Participation in the meeting is free of charge, but\u00a0<strong>prior registration is required via<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kreatywna-europa.eu\/formularz-zgloszenia-kreatywne-debaty-porozmawiajmy-o-projektach-literackich-14-listopada-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">registration form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following people have been invited to the debate Let\u2019s talk about\u2026 literary projects:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marcin Skrabka<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 moderator; Graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Wroc\u0142aw and studies at the Institute of Intellectual Property Law at the Jagiellonian University. Scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in the field of cultural management and supporting the development of cultural personnel. Member of the EURead association (Stiftung Lesen). Manages the University of Wroc\u0142aw Publishing House. In 2007, he established the Good Books initiative (goodbooks.pl), which brings together educators involved in improving the competences of cultural personnel, and in 2019, the Good Games brand (goodgames.pl), where, together with the Finnish Team Action Zone, he works on ways to combine new technologies with traditional books, especially in the field of gamification of book content as one of the ways to promote reading among the youngest generations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maria Deskur\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 publisher, expert in popularizing reading. Graduate of the Jagiellonian University, the Sorbonne and the Universit\u00e9 Lumi\u00e8re in Lyon. Co-founder of the Muchomor publishing house, co-creator of the &#039;Basia&#039; and &#039;I Read Myself&#039; series, long-time managing director of Egmont Books, co-founder and president of the Universal Reading Foundation. Winner of the Zwyrta\u0142a 2019 competition for the best idea for promoting reading for the campaign &quot;A prescription book. A recipe for success&quot;, author of the guide to popularizing reading &quot;The Superpower of Books&quot;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eva Nicewicz<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Italianist, literary scholar, translator from Italian and French. Doctor of Humanities from the University of Warsaw and the University of Padua, assistant professor at the Institute of Literary Studies of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszy\u0144ski University. Researcher of Italian literature for children and youth, multiple scholarship holder of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, member of the jury of the Leopold Staff Literary Award.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monika Wr\u00f3bel-Lutz<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 publisher, painter, graphic artist. President of Tatarak publishing house, initiator of the #TataTe\u017cCzyta project. Publishes books for children. Interested in innovative approaches to illustrations in children&#039;s books.
