Maria Deskur, re-elected as president, and Grzegorz Majerowicz, a member of the board, was joined as the next member of the Board by Katarzyna Konopka, previously a project manager in the Foundation.<\/p><p>Katarzyna Konopka is a journalism graduate, publisher, and marketer. She worked in the marketing departments of Znak and Egmont publishing houses. For several years, she supported Polonia while working at the Consulate General in New York. As a publisher, she was responsible for children&#039;s books at the S\u0142owne publishing house. Since 2021, she has been associated with the Universal Reading Foundation, managing projects that include primarily the #Ksi\u0105\u017ckaNaRecept\u0119 program, Ratownicy Czytelnictwa, and the international #Ksi\u0105\u017ckaChroni campaign.<\/p><p><em>The mission of the Universal Reading Foundation is to raise the level of reading in Poland, among others by engaging and encouraging non-readers to read.
